I have to agree. Even though they're basically doing what every company does, but just told people they're doing it, it doesn't feel very classy at all. Especially as you say given the state of the Wii U version.
Yeah, reckon that's the plan.
If anything I think prices will go up, especially for Xbox One due to their Christmas lineup. Think a lot of retailers are aggressively selling 500GB stock too.
Very interesting video. Though I often don't think about issues like these, it's great that people are having these sorts of discussions without them overpowering reviews and buyer's guides.
I think you're deluding yourself RE Devil's Third. Nintendo would have shown it if they had any confidence in it, and following the development hell, I can't say I do either.
That said, I do think they've got plenty of great games out and coming. Just now Yoshi's Woolly World looks awesome, Mario Maker looks great and Star Fox... mmmmmm... Platinum Games... yesss... okay, now I'm deluding myself.
Oh stop it, strawman. Pointing out that a company screwed up doesn't make you a 'hater' and certainly doesn't make your opinion any less valid.
They've said it's coming to Wii U, but you have to admit that the possibility is pretty damn compelling. It's possible that they're just saving it to be one last big Wii U blowout, though, rather than a cross-gen release.
I agree in theory, wonderfulmonkeyman, I really do. But a little part of me wonders if backwards compatibility actually hurt the Wii U a bit, while the GamePad did more harm than good even though it's a GREAT peripheral that deserves more respect (from devs and gamers alike).
Yup. The narrative is now all about the NX, even though it wasn't even at E3!
Or launch window at the very least, agreed. The lack of system selling software cripped the Wii U, basically until MK8 released.
I bought one at launch and loved ZombiU, TW101, Wind Waker, Pikmin 3 etc, but with the best will in the world those games don't sell consoles to most people. They didn't to me, really, I just fancied a new system at the time.
Yeah, agreed with all of that. They need a strong lineup, easier pathway for 3rd parties and most of all a strong message.
Oh yes. Yes they did. I'm still amazed that they dropped such a limp stage demo for one of their biggest exclusives.
Yup, but I reckon it probably is a coincidence. There are SO MANY fan creations/wishlists/ideas for every game that there's bound to be coincidental overlap from time to time.
EDIT: That said, the name 'Medusa's Stare' is uncanny!
Awesome. Seen the amazing PC prices but I need a new GPU really, would rather grab it on PS4 to be safe.
Yup, and Nintendo usually deliver. Been excited about this one for ages.
Right on. Once you've taken the initial hit of buying/building the hardware it starts to pay for itself pretty fast.
Do I need this? I dont... know... okay fine, there's gotta be some mad resale value here.
It's gonna be interesting to see how they tinker with it. Updating art style is a good idea seeing as they have to visually rebuild it anyway, but I wonder if Square will have the discipline to know when to stop.
Either way, I can't wait, though reckon we might be waiting until 2017. 20th anniversary and all that.
He's a games writer/critic, not a games designer. If critics could create or come up with awesome ideas chances are they'd actually be doing that for a living.
Yup, it's money-gouging BS like this that's the biggest issue facing gaming right now IMO.
